Dance the Night Away

The centrepiece of the weekend at Buckden Towers is the Yule Ball.

Two hybrid critters dance. Both have human heads in the normal position, and hairy doggy legs. One is playing the bagpipes and has a tail. The other has a second human face in their lower half.

After a day of arts and sciences, feasting, and Court, join us in the Kings Room in Tower Hall for more merriment. Our Ball Coordinator and crew, will lead us to make it easy and fun for everyone, from the most experienced to first-time dancers, to join in.

Dances include many various and assorted Bransles, Lorayne Almain, Carolingian Pavane, Petit Vriens, Jenny Pluck Pears, Gathering Peascods, and Black Nag. Plus our customary informal bardic circle after the dancing has finished.
