Dance the Night Away
The centrepiece of the weekend at Buckden Towers is the Yule Ball.

After a day of archery, feasting, and Court, join us in the King’s Room in Tower Hall for more merriment. Our Ball Coordinator and crew, will lead us to make it easy and fun for everyone, from the most experienced to first-time dancers, to join in.
Dances include many various and assorted Bransles, Lorayne Almain, Carolingian Pavane, Petit Vriens, Jenny Pluck Pears, Gathering Peascods, and Black Nag. Plus our customary informal bardic circle after the dancing has finished.
Any musicians who’d like to play in the band are very welcome. Get in touch at steward@flintheath.org.uk
This year, there will be a beginner scroll blanks competition sponsored by Master Maredudd ap Gwylim, Lady Amy of Osgoldcross, and Lord John Yarrowe. This competition will be open to all who have not yet produced a scroll for the Kingdom. The entries will be displayed during the event for everyone to admire.
Bring your entries to the Parlour on the ground floor of the Main House by 11.00 Saturday morning.
