Dance the Night Away
The centrepiece of the weekend at Buckden Towers is the Yule Ball.

After a day of fencing, feasting, and Court, join us in the King’s Room in Tower Hall for more merriment. Our Ball Coordinator
Lord John Yarrowe and crew, will lead us to make it easy and fun for everyone, from the most experienced to first-time dancers to join in.
We'll start with an almain for some fancy
walking, and a couple of pavanes for some even fancier walking. Then the bransles - circle dances which start simply with stepping to the side, and then expand to include kicks and jumps, and occasionally pretending to be a horse! All will be taught as we go.
There will also hopefully be some playford dances lead by Leofrun, Dominic, or Anne. Throughout, will also be bardic interludes so you can catch your breath / show off!
Please see comprehensive information about all the dances,
including steps and music, in this spreadsheet.

Exhibit your project at the Arts & Sciences Show and Tell

The A&S Show and Tell allows those who have finished a project this year, or have a complete project, to show and talk about to those interested. Tables will be provided. The S&T will start following court and will run for two hours. It's a great chance for our artisans to show their talents and for others to learn about the skills required for various art projects.
If would be appreciated if those interested in displaying would inform myself or the Event Stewards, so that we have an idea of the space required. Thanks!
