Buckden Towers Accommodation

Main House Access

The Victorian Main House social spaces are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible, either with level access, or by the use of a small ramp.

On the first floor, there is accommodation for 27 attendees in rooms for two or three people, accessible via a wide, shallow staircase. Additionally, there are four shared bathrooms.

There is only one level-access room (Wolsey) with two twin beds, on the ground floor. This is the only universally accessible room on the site.

Lighting in the house is subdued, except in the Library.

Tower Access

There are 44 dormitory-style bunks available, located on the first and second floors of the Great Tower, accessed by a narrow spiral staircase. Each bunk room contains ten double-tier bunks, plus two leader bunks. There are full toilet, shower, and washing facilities on both floors. The Tower stairs and accommodation are well lit.

Tower bunk attendees are required to bring their own bedding. Attendees for whom luggage capacity is a problem, we can arrange to supply bedding.
